Beauty muse….

Jane Birkin we adore you!

From the perfectly executed fringe to her effortless style, we just can’t get enough of Jane Birkin’s timeless elegance!

The beauty team at The Face London adore 60’s makeup-especially when it’s understated and not as obvious and contrived as we have seen it in the past.

The 60’s era has always been a personal favourite of mine- the mini dresses, the square heeled shoes and the doll-like hairstyles and eye makeup!

It’s easy to see why we have chosen Jane Birkin as our beauty muse for the month.

If there’s any particular era you would like to emulate on your next visit to our studio, please do let us know as our team of experts would love nothing more than to make your vision a reality.

Our beauty team encourage all clients to try something new and when you have a team as good as ours at your disposal, why the heck not?

The beauty team have kindly recommended the following products -should you wish to recreate this look (personally I think it’s a hit for spring)

Above for the eyes the team have chosen to use Bobbi Brown smoky Topaz and Cool lilac and for adding definition to the creases and close to the eyelashes use Benefit’s Big beautiful eyes

This little kit is all you need to line, define and contour your eyes like a pro.

This kit contains: boi-ing medium, industrial-strength concealer, alabaster pink base shadow, cocoa shimmer contour shadow, rich chocolate-brown liner shadow, two brushes for easy application and an illustrated, step-by-step professional makeup lesson.

Laura Mercier Kohl Eye Pencil which is formulated specifically for lining the inside of the eyelid and the base of the lashes team up with  Laura Mercier Blown Volume Lash Building Mascara which dramatically thickens, lengthens, curls and sculpts lashes with each stroke. The lightweight, nutrient-infused formula leaves lashes super-shiny, soft and clump-free all day long, perfect for recreating Jane Birkin’s doe eyes!

Frame the face by defining your brows beautiful with Bobbi Brown’s angled brush head, to expertly shape and define natural-looking brows.

For dewy, fresh even toned skin such a Jane’s pictured above-our beauty team recommend using Bobbi Brown’s Luminous moisturizing foundation, add  youthful rosy cheeks by using dandelion blusher from Benefit.

For lips and nails we recommend MAC nail lacquer in midsummers dream (a high gloss nail varnish that gives a chic and smooth finnish to any manicure) Viva glam Nicki lipstick in a peachy coral, creates the perfect Birkin pout!

If you prefer a more natural subtle effect on your lips opt for a lip tint from Benefit in Cha Cha tint colour, this to can be used as a peachy blusher to!
